This page sets out how polemix.co builds its pages, checks claims, and handles errors. It applies to every article published on the site.
Scope
The site covers online casino games available to adult players in Canada. Coverage is limited to game mechanics and published figures. Desmond Okafor writes the material. He spent six years on an Ontario casino floor servicing physical slot machines, and that work shapes what the site treats as checkable.
Topic Selection
Topics are chosen where a game feature can be described as a working system. Megaways modifiers, RTP values, volatility bands, progressive triggers, and VR or AR slot formats all qualify because each has a defined behaviour that can be traced to a source. A topic is dropped when the only available description is marketing copy with no paytable or studio sheet behind it.
Sources
Every figure on the site comes from a game’s own published paytable or from a studio information sheet. Nothing else is used as a number source. Where a studio sheet and a paytable disagree, the page states both and names which document each figure came from.
- Paytable
- The document published with a game that lists symbol values, line rules, and feature triggers.
- Studio information sheet
- The document a game studio issues for a title, covering stated RTP and volatility.
- Checkable claim
- A statement that can be matched against one of the two documents above.
Limits
The site does not estimate RTP or volatility. If a game has no published figure for either, the page says so and stops there. Desmond Okafor does not test games for money and does not report results from play sessions. A page describes what a game’s documents state, and no more than that.
Independence
Operators do not review pages before publication and do not supply figures. Commercial links on the site are described on the Affiliate Disclosure page. A commercial relationship does not change which sources a page may use, and it does not change the rule against estimating RTP or volatility.
Review
Pages are checked again when a game’s terms change, and at least once a year as an intent. A review confirms that each figure still matches the current paytable or studio sheet. Where a figure has moved, the page is updated and the date at the top changes.
Corrections
Errors can be reported through the contact page. A report should name the page and the figure or sentence in question. Each report is checked against the paytable or studio sheet that the page cites. If the page is wrong, it is corrected and the correction is marked with an updated date at the top of the page. If the page is right, the report is noted and no change is made.
